Obesity: a serious problem for our dogs
Canine obesity is an increasing problem and the consequences of excess body fat in our dogs should be a priority to consider. Today we can say that 35% of our dogs are obese, one of the major causes of this disorder is attributed to castration or sterilization, with a higher number of cases in middle aged dogs.
The metabolism changes produced by sterilization are usually increased food consumption along with the decrease in activity levels. Sex also influences weight gain: in this case females tend to accumulate more fat.
Oral health for dogs
It is important to control our dog's oral hygiene to prevent many problems, such as tooth decay and generalized infections, or even aggressive behaviour, caused by pain and inflammation.
Caring for your dog's teeth should start when it is still a puppy, this will allow you to educate it properly to allow periodic inspections, brushing and deep cleaning.
Spring ... enemy of our dogs?
In the spring our beloved dogs suffer a series of inconveniences caused by the association of several allergens that may result in mild or severe allergic reactions, unique to this season: allergic dermatitis, digestive sensitivity and diseases transmitted by parasites or mosquitoes that require some special care.
Our pet’s feelings
Dogs are living beings that get happy, sad, feel fear, frustration, jealousy, etc. Despite what many may believe, THEY HAVE FEELINGS, and a wide range of them. We can see that our dog may have both positive and negative emotions.
