MARKUS-MÜHLE BLACK ANGUS SENIOR is transported directly from our Markus-Mühle factory in Germany to our warehouse in Spain in refrigerated trucks between 18ºC-24ºC. Being a natural product, it is very sensitive to heat and damp as it contains no preservatives. We send the packages to the whole of Spain in thermo-protective boxes within approximately 24 hours in order to maintain its freshness and shelf life.
MARKUS-MÜHLE BLACK ANGUS SENIOR has kept the best of its legendary "Acticell" feed components and incorporated a rich diversity of proteins and ingredients that give our dogs the necessary nutrients to keep them healthy and happy.

The Markus- Mühle Black Angus Senior feed is made from natural ingredients, containing, amongst others, a number of natural antioxidants that effectively help against the cellular aging process. Perna canaliculus mussel extract helps strengthen joints: swamp clay and siliceous earth aids the absorption of nutrients, making this an extraordinary feed with all the benefits you could possibly want for your dog.
Thanks to its manufacturing process at low temperature (not extruded) and its specific formula Markus -Mühle Black Angus Senior helps our dogs to have a stronger immune system and a more efficient absorption of the necessary nutrients needed for a healthy development of joints and tissue.
Nutritionists and veterinarians developed a unique combination of protein (Black Angus Beef, Duck & Herring) ideal for a balanced diet and healthy growth.
Properties of some of the ingredients of Markus- Mühle Black Angus Senior
- Black Angus Beef. One of the best steaks in the world! The beef from this particular breed of (free range) cattle has a very low cholesterol content. Due to its high quality meat, a greater amount of energy is obtained from its protein.
- Barbarie Duck Meat. It is an excellent choice for a chicken intolerant dog, its taste is succulent, its protein has a high biological value and its fat has an important contribution in the content of fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6.
- Herring. Ideal for dogs with food allergies and intolerance to chicken! It is a type of oily fish rich in vitamin D- strengthens the skin , bones and immune system as well as B12 (cobalamin), which helps reduce intestinal problems, it helps maintain the nervous system, heart and brain. With the inclusion of Herring, dogs have a higher digestibility.
- Millet. Ideal for dogs allergic to gluten! It is considered a regulator of intestinal transit and increases the feeling of satiety.
- Amaranth. Has a high nutritional value due to the quality of the protein and the amino acid balance. Provides a high content of lysine!
- Extract perna canaliculus mussel meat. This extract is very beneficial for improving joint problems such as arthritis or hip dysplasia, a supplement that reduces pain and improves mobility, together with a balanced diet and appropriate veterinary treatment. It helps reduce inflammation, preserve the integrity of cartilage and fight oxidative damage. Highly recommended for large dogs and / or elderly! Cats also may benefit from this supplement.
- Grape Seed Flour. Known as a great antioxidant, is beneficial to the immune system and slows tissue aging.
- Tagetes Flower. Used to reduce digestive disorders and to get rid of parasites (worms).
- Ginseng Root. Rich in vitamins B and C, essential oils, estrogens and amino acids.
- Green Clay. Clay has many therapeutic properties, it is one of the most effective antiseptics and antibiotics that exist in nature; a powerful detoxifier, it maintains the health of the digestive system, acting as a purifier, absorbs harmful radiation and destroys diseased cells and generally revitalizes the body.

Its balanced formula has similarities with what a wolf would eat in nature, adapting it to the needs of today's senior dogs.
Markus- Mühle Black Angus Senior feed is produced in our plant in Germany, using a traditional low temperature method (38 ° C - max. 45 ° C) using hydropower to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
The low temperature process and its end product pressed into pellets, prevents vitamin and protein degeneration from the original ingredients. Furthermore, this method keeps the natural flavor of the ingredients, increases the palatability and digestibility favouring a high assimilation of nutrients.
Once produced, our feed is packed and immediately distributed in refrigerated trucks with a controlled temperature of between 18 º - 24 º C, directly to our central warehouse in Spain. This means that our timeframe from Germany to Spain, is a maximum of 4-5 days, allowing freshness to be preserved constantly.
Our products’ shipments to our lupo-consumers nationwide, including “Markus-Mühle BLACK ANGUS SENIOR”, are transported in thermo-protective white boxes suitable for human food.
Luposan / Markus Mühle takes extreme care in transporting their feed and supplements from our factory in Germany to their lupo-consumers, in order to maintain their freshness and shelf life. This is why we hire refrigerated trucks for international transport and renowned urgent domestic couriers such as MRW, UPS or DHL, amongst others, to ensure that your reception time is approximately 24 h - 48 h maximum, from our warehouse to your home.
This type of distribution implies an increase in our costs, but we do not jeopardize our pets’ food. A natural feed with a short shelf life, exposed to poor storage and lengthy transportation may lose many of its properties. We do not risk it. (Cheap tends to turn to expensive and for us, quality is priceless).

En casos especiales que su perro necesitase más energía por motivos fuera de lo habitual, por ejemplo: llevarlo a hacer senderismo, a correr, ir con Ud. a hacer paseos en bicicleta muchos Kms., etc. podría aumentar la dosis diaria del 1,8 % al 2,4% del peso de su perro en pienso.

- Introducing your pet to Luposan’s Markus-Mühle Black Angus Senior: To condition your dog's metabolism to Luposan’s MARKUS - MÜHLE BLACK ANGUS SENIOR feed, we advise you gradually introduce it to your pet's diet. Start the first 4-5 days combining ¼ of feed with ¾ of its usual food. After 5 days, offer half and half, until BLACK ANGUS SENIOR feed becomes their only food. This adaptation process is not necessary when changing to another Luposan feed, as they all have the same 100 percent natural base and are not extruded.
- Transport and storage of our products, especially in hot temperatures: Handling, transport and storage of Luposan’s BLACK ANGUS SENIOR feed, as a natural based product, requires more care than industrial feed: You must always keep it in a cool dry place, away from light and sun, properly closing the bag, storing it in a special storage box and avoiding exposure to possible pests. Shelf life
From the time they are produced and packaged in our factory in Germany, shelf life is 6 months as from the date indicated in the lower rear of the bag. Luposan production in Germany is a daily process, stocks are not generated.

- Our products cannot be compared with sterile foods packaged in hermetically sealed cans, suitable for storing in the pantry for a long time.
- Our products are natural, no preservatives and with a short shelf life, so they are more sensitive to pests, insects, fungi, moisture, heat, etc.

- Store in a cool dry place.
- Keep away from light and sun.
- Never leave it in the car, especially in summer.

- We emphasize that owners need to be careful with elaborate rewards or treats, especially if they are of low quality because they can be harmful to the dog's digestive system. In other words: There is no use in giving high quality natural meal only to offer them artificial products laden with chemicals, dyes and flavoring? Give them their natural candy such as natural dried meat, etc.
